This beautiful French Empire mantel clock is from the late 1700s and by the master, Bourret a Paris, one of the all time greats in French clockmaking. It is of Bisque Porcelain and Gilt Bronze of a Chariot with a robed maiden and drawn by a gilded bronze swan. Enamel Dial is marked Bourret a Paris (Noel Bourret, France, 1755-1803) one of the most important Parisian clockmakers of the late 18th century. It rests on a cobalt bue and gilded oval plinth. It features a Putti atop, surrounded by four more below. The gilding on this is a spectacular two-tone, with a bright gilded finish offset by a matte one. This is 18 inches high by 13 inches wide.
